Who We Are
Stand Indivisible AZ was founded in 2016, when Jenni Eisel gathered a group of like-minded progressives and formed a new local chapter of the national Indivisible movement* here in the Valley.
Today, our group, Stand Indivisible AZ, has a strong track record of activism driven by a steering committee of experienced community activists and hundreds and hundreds of members who have made our voices heard, rolled up our sleeves, and collaborated with like-minded organizations to advocate for issues of crucial importance to Arizona and the nation.
Some Examples of Our Impact
Co-sponsored a debate for the field of primary candidates for Arizona's 6th Congressional District
Participated collaboratively with other local organizations in voter registration drives
Successfully worked with Save Our Schools to put Prop 305 to preserve funding for public schools; Hosted small gatherings with AZ Schools Now to educate voters on critical action items to demand additional financial resources for public schools
Joined with women in the Women's March, high school students in the March for Our Lives, educators in the Red for Ed movement and mothers at the Black Mother's Forum Prayer March

*Indivisible is a progressive movement in United States politics, initiated in 2016 as a reaction to the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. The movement began with the online publication of a handbook written by Congressional staffers with suggestions for peacefully but effectively resisting the move to the right in the executive branch of the United States government under the Trump administration that was widely anticipated and feared by progressives. To date, more than 6,000 local Indivisible groups are active throughout the country, working independently and in their local communities to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders and realize bold progressive policies.
