Letters
Register Voters
Text Banking
As a member of the Letter and Postcard Writing Team you will help communicate important information to fellow citizens by writing pre-prepared messages on a letter or postcard, addressing the card or envelope and providing a stamp for delivery. You can work independently or chose to join a few friends at a convenient location to share the experience.
Rallies and Marches
Members of this team help draw attention to important human and civil rights issues by gathering at a designated location to protest, support or defend laws and initiatives that affect the citizens of Arizona. Note that these events are planned with a focus on the safety of the participants.
Phone Banking
As a member of the Voter Registration Team you will assist citizens who wish to register to vote. You will explain the different ways to register to vote and help them choose the best registration method for them. Often you will provide guidance in completing the registration process. Training is provided and you will generally work with other members on planned schedules and areas.
Social Media
As a member of the Social Media Team you will share important messages with others by using Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You may use your own account or be authorized to use ours. Messages and graphics are supplied to you along with target dates for your posting.
As a member of the Text Banking Team you will help deliver information about activities or events to specific individuals by texting scripted messages to them. This is an automated
process where you use your own cell phone but your number is not revealed and there is no cost to you. You may need to respond to individuals who respond to your text message. You can participate during scheduled time blocks or during another time that is convenient for you.
Operations
As a member of the operations team, you help build and run the infrastructure that
enables us to be a working organization. In essence, this is the “back room” that
creates the public face of the organization and a quality experience for our members.
Everything is part of a system that covers maintaining membership and mailing lists, to planning and running meetings or video conferences and keeping the website
information current.
Canvassing
As a member of the Phone Banking Team you will help contact specific screened individuals by phone to communicate a provided message or to gather information. This is an automated process where you use your own cell phone but your number is not revealed and there is no cost to you. You can participate during scheduled time blocks or during another time that is convenient for you.
As a member of the Canvassing Team you participate in a small group or team going door to door to share information with citizens in specific geographic areas through face to face contact. You can also be involved with dropping off materials when they are not home. This team is usually active when elections are near. All canvassing is planned to be in safe areas.
