The City of Scottsdale is seriously considering a Charlie Kirk Memorial - read: Conservative leaders propose Charlie Kirk memorial. While the Scottsdale City Council is supposed to be nonpartisan, we have a conservative supermajority on the Council today, due to groups like Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA, which helped get them elected in 2024. Mayor Lisa Borowsky said she is already in discussions with Turning Point about a memorial. There are a plenty of reasons why this is a bad idea, and we need everyone to write to the City Council and tell them why you are against a Charlie Kirk memorial in Scottsdale. Here are some of the reasons you might include in your email: |
|
Email the City Council - just copy & paste: LBorowsky@scottsdaleaz.gov, akwasman@scottsdaleaz.gov, bgraham@scottsdaleaz.gov, jdubauskas@scottsdaleaz.gov, klittlefield@scottsdaleaz.gov, swhitehead@scottsdaleaz.gov, mmcallen@scottsdaleaz.gov |
Also, submit a Letter to the Editor about the proposed Kirk Memorial. It's easy when you use these online forms: |
Letter to the Editor Writing Tips: * Focus on one topic, be clear and concise, and obey the publications word count limit. * Be yourself. You don’t need to talk like an academic or a policy expert.
